Monoclonal Antibody is an antibody with quite specific and often unique binding specificity which is secreted by the biologically cloned line of plasmacytoma cells in the absence of other related antibodies with the different binding specificities. Differs from any of the polyclonal antibodies, which are mixed populations of antibody molecules such as might be present in a serum specimen, in which many diverse individual antibodies have different binding specificities
