PROJECT: MONITORING AND REPORTING OF TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY, AND LIQUID LEVEL OF SUMP PIT VIA TEXT MESSAGE
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A certain home application requires 24/7 monitoring of liquid level in the sump pit located in the basement, temperature in all three floors, humidity in all three floors and current OUtSlde temperature. Home owner need to receive text message notification in case any of these level, temperature and humidity conditions exceed certain set limit defined by the home owner. He also needs to install three to four activity sensors in various strategic places inside the home to monitor any actIVIty. Home owner can direct maintenance personnel in case of any unusual condition. Activity sensors also alert the home owner about how many times and when the maintenance personnel entered the house and each time how much time the maintenance personnel spends in doing the job for billing purposes.
The system need to be inexpensive and somewhat reliable. Home owner does not want to spend more than $1000.00 including installation for this application. Design the system and provide cost analysis such as recurring expenses like batteries and other defect that my happen due to environmental conditions.
