In developing the required marketing strategy you should produce a long-term action plan addressing the key marketing elements covered in this module – note you must determine which are critically important to the company’s success and focus on these in your strategy.

Part A – around 2,000 words

• A market analysis addressing the key contextual and environmental issues and trends affecting industry currently and in the future (predictions)

• A situational analysis assessing Tesla’s competitiveness in its market

• A detailed competitor analysis identifying and examining direct competitors

• A detailed customer analysis examining issues and trends, segments and value sought

o These must be supported by secondary research and theory

Part B – around 2,000 words

• A set of strategic marketing objectives to enhance success

• A detailed and justified set of recommendations for Tesla Motors to enhance their strategic marketing strategy and success

• The recommendations must draw from the key elements and concepts covered in the module

o These must be supported by theory and evidence from practice

You must:

• Undertake suitable secondary research into the sector and market

• Apply appropriate strategic marketing theory and models to examine the sector, the market and the company

• Refer to theory and practice in order to make justified strategic marketing recommendations

• Submit as a written report

• Word count is 4,000 words (+/- 10%)
