Managers has important responsibilities toward the people in their organization, and the easiest way to think about it is like being a coach. A manager is responsible for more than just getting things done, they have to take care of their team. According to Principles of Management, managers need to think about how their decisions affect employees and make sure they are acting in an ethical and fair way (OpenStax, 2019). In the sports world and for my team this looks like making sure all my players are treated fairly, helping them develop their skills, and creating an environment where they feel safe, respected, and motivated. For example, just like a coach gives feedback, runs practices, and helps to support the players, a manager should communicate clearly, give guidance, and help their team grow. The book explains that "managers must consider the ethical implications of their decisions," which means they should always think about what is right for their people, not just what gets results (OpenStax, 2019, Chapter 2). When managers do this well, it builds trust and helps the whole team perform better. Need Assignment Help?
