Discussion Post: Successful Online Communications
To Prepare:
Recall the Alashaikh (2015) article you read and Video Interviews With Effective Online Instructors. Think about the diverse experiences, different cultural backgrounds, and unique perspectives your students will bring to the online classroom. How will you communicate with all of your online students successfully? What characteristics do online instructors need to communicate effectively and efficiently online?
Task
Citing from the literature, post your response to the following:
List three best practices and/or tools for successful communication with diverse learners in the online classroom. For each, identify one example from the Learning Resources, and explain how and why it promoted a successful learning outcome. Then, reflect on how each might help you successfully address diversity in your future online classrooms.
