Julie applied for the job of secretary to the Personnel Department. She was interviewed on Thursday and offered the job. She asked for the time to consider the offer and the manager asked her to give a firm reply by the end of the week. On Thursday, Julie posted a letter accepting the job. The letter was delayed and did not arrive until the following Thursday, by which time the Personnel Department had offered the job to Sally, who accepted immediately. Julie is now threatening to sue for breach of contract. What is her legal position?
