Instructions:
1. Choose Reliable Sources: Look for reputable news sources that cover business and financial news, such as The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Harvard Business Review. You may also explore local and regional business publications to discover examples that are relevant to businesses in Calgary.
2. Select Articles: Focus on articles that have been published within the last three months to ensure that the examples are current and relevant. Aim to find two articles from different publishers that have somewhat different perspectives on the topic in the news.
3. Analyze the Content: Carefully read each article and consider how the news story relates to the course material.
4. Prepare a Summary:
- Title and source of the article
- Date of publication
- Main points or key message of the article. (Don't list details but rather summarize and prioritize the ideas.)
- Connection to the course material (specific theories, terms, or frameworks).
- Any additional insights you have
5. Submit your summary and a link to the articles. If you are taking an in-person class, also be prepared to share your findings with the class.
