Individuals though need to not be so disturbed by others

I don't see a problem with using words that are gender specific like policeman or waitress, I think where problems arise is how we use these words basically whether or not we are positive or negative when and how we say them. I think if people are patronizing about the word usage then using gender specific words would become a problem. I think sometimes too though that politically correctness has gotten a little out of hand, I think there must be respect and politeness when addressing anyone by there name or title without the rudeness or drama. Individuals though need to not be so disturbed by others words and actions. If we were going to have to rephrase policeman we could just say the "police" will handle the issues and when using a restaurant situation we could say the server will help instead.
