Please envision you are the Head of HR in a company that you are familiar with. The CEO of the company has asked all department heads to present about the following topics to the management board, in order for them be informed about possible improvement areas when working internationally.

In this context, please put together an Executive Style PowerPoint Presentation with approx. 20 slides in length. In this presentation, please inform the senior management by briefly explaining the concept of Cross-Cultural Management and its relevance in supporting global business operations.

Additional notes below:

- Take the assignment about how cross-cultural management can improve business operations.

- What does that mean?

- Imagine a setup with a global operations and too many multi culture competing and causing chaos, lack of performance and de-motivation.

- Recommend the management what to do?

- Say (hypothetically) because in this particular country, employees are known to be of high power distance, people need to learn there is a hierarchy so they need to respect upward and downward communication.

However in that country, there is a low power distance, it's important that we establish open communication, complete delegation and distributed leadership. (Of course upward and downward communication and even open communication must be referenced)

2. Each slide / page 12 - 15 lines

3. Formatted to a high degree, suitable to present to Senior Management

4. Clear adherence to the instructions as above

5. The presentation must be research-informed, means need to present based on academic reading, not on practical experience

6. Must properly reference sources that have consulted

7. Must provide a conclusion and present recommendations

8. Make sure to analyze and create a plan to improve cross-cultural communication in global business operations. Avoid simple notification about the various groupings the employees are.

The assessment outline:

- Introduction (7%) Purpose, content, tools (1 slide)

- Defining Theories (35%) Theories encountered, listing of variances of theories (6 slides)

- Applying the Knowledge (25%) Directly as it is regardless if it is a logical or a sound analysis (6 slides)

- Answering the Question (25%) Analyzing the concepts used and criticizing its validity, analyze if it reaches the same objective, reflection, critical analysis... (6 slides)

- Conclusion (8%) Summary of findings, listing of untapped angles, recommendations (1 slide)

- Bonus Slide (1 slide), Introduction about the company (virtual company)
