In June, "the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is $3.68 per gallon, which is the highest it has been in the early summer since six years"(AAA,2014). All the violence that has been happening in Iraq due to the militant group called ISIS has made the prices of gasoline go up because they are fighting in Iraq where most the oil is located at. This is what was making the prices to go up in June. " The last time the national average was under $3 was on December 22, 2010, when it stood at $2.995 per gallon(DeHaan,2014). This just shows that it has been a long time since the gas prices have been below three dollars a gallon and w need to get them to decrease and to stay that way.
