Question: I live to be 100 years old, I think the biggest reason for that would be having strong relationships, faith, and a positive outlook on life. I believe that staying connected to people, being grateful, and keeping my mind active would help me live a long and happy life. Taking care of myself physically and emotionally would also play a big part. I think laughter, love, and having something to look forward to each day are what keep people going.
During this semester, I learned so much about human development and how people change and grow at every stage of life. One thing that I did not know much about before was how much adults continue to develop emotionally and mentally as they get older. I used to think most personal growth happened when you were young, but now I understand that adults keep learning and changing throughout life.
Something that really surprised me was how much culture and environment affect the way people develop. Everyone's experiences shape who they become, and no two people grow up the same way. This made me more open-minded and more understanding of why people are the way they are.
From this course, I will take with me the importance of patience, empathy, and understanding. It reminded me that life is a continuous process of learning, no matter your age. Whether in my personal life or future career, I will remember that growth never stops. If I reach 100, I hope it is because I lived with purpose, love, and a willingness to keep learning.
