I think that the 100,000 grant funds should be used to help the department higher a few more good officers and use the rest of the money to keep the officers safe with better gear to wear when confronting the criminal on a day to day basis. There are times where officers are being shoot at and still die due to the gear that is not bullet proof all the way. If any money is left over it should to construct a program that would help diminish early juvenile crime. I think that with new police programs is a big help in bringing down crime with motivating new youths to choose the right paths.
