As with icons, music videos and television programs also reveal something about the identity of American popular culture, and there are reasons why these programs and videos are popular and appealing to the “cultural tastes of the times” (Solomon 189). Write an essay, 3.5-4 pages, in which you analyze either a music video or television program to uncover its underlying social significance.
As for television, you may choose to analyze a sitcom, reality program, game show, talk show, soap opera, drama series, such as CSI, anything but a movie. If you are unsure about your chosen topic, contact me for approval.
