Assignment task: Identifying Funders and Funding Opportunities
One of the first components of writing a grant proposal is identifying appropriate and aligned funders with your organization.
Please use your selected nonprofit organization to respond to the following:
American Red Cross
1. Using the Grants search database, determine two government funders (federal, state, or local) appropriate for the organization to apply for a grant. Illustrate the criteria you used to choose these funders.
2. Using the Philanthropy News Digest's RFP database, determine two foundation funders appropriate for the organization to apply for a grant. Illustrate the criteria you used to choose these funders.
3. Determine two corporate funders that would be appropriate for the organization to apply to for a grant. Illustrate the criteria you used to choose these funders.
