Homework: Theoretical Foundation for Research Paper: Partial Draft
For this Homework, you begin to draft a paper presenting your theoretical foundation. As you commence this process, you will likely discover that you need to delve deeper into the literature, discuss your work with colleagues, and refine your initial ideas. You are encouraged to take the time you need to fully engage in the iterative process of developing your theoretical foundation.
In subsequent the course, you will continue to build your theoretical foundation and refine the partial draft of your paper. You will have received feedback from your Instructor on this partial draft and have additional time to produce the final version of your paper later in the course.
To prepare
A. Continue to work on the partial draft of your paper. As a reminder, address the following:
1) Identify your phenomenon of interest.
2) Define concepts and identify attributes, antecedents, and consequences.
3) Describe conceptual relationships.
4) Identify assumptions that may be embedded in your research.
5) Describe how an existing framework or theory could inform your work. Explain how the framework/theory originated and what modifications you may need to make for it to be useful for your research.
B. Incorporate one or more research questions or hypotheses.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
