Perhaps no issue has polarized the electorate more than healthcare reform, with major initiatives occurring during the Obama administration that may greatly expand coverage to millions of Americans. Based upon current events, and your perspectives of health reform, identify the three biggest challenges to the implementation of health care policy that increases efficiency, efficacy, and cost savings.
1. To what degree, if any, is it important to have government-provided universal health insurance coverage?
This is necessarily a broad question, and the best way to answer this question may be to focus on your local community. Think about changes that would immediately benefit your doctor, your hospital, or your health clinic. Look at this question from a micro perspective instead of a macro perspective – it may be the most insightful way for all of us to compare remedies to America's healthcare crisis.
