Discussion Post: Social Media in Population Health
Social media is increasingly being used as a population health intervention, providing an inexpensive way to provide health information. Most social media sites require succinct information. Select a top practice problem to address the following.
1) Identify the selected practice problem. (Substance abuse.)
2) Describe an evidence-based intervention to address the practice problem.
3) Create an informational population health "Tweet" as part of a social marketing intervention. This "Tweet" should be no more than 280 characters to promote awareness of the health problem and intervention. Your "Tweet" should be current, captivating, and applicable for the population at risk.
4) Identify one measurable outcome to the "Tweet".
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
