Directions
I. Discussions are designed to promote dialogue between faculty and students, and students and their peers. In discussions students:
i. Demonstrate understanding of concepts.
ii. Integrate outside scholarly sources when required
iii. Engage in meaningful dialogue with classmates and/or instructor
iv. Express opinions clearly and logically, in a professional manner
II. Best Practices include:
i. Participation early in the week is encouraged to stimulate meaningful discussion among classmates and instructor.
ii. Enter the discussion often during the week to read and learn from posts.
iii. Select different classmates for your reply each week.
Task
Application and implications for practice come from the interpretation of meaning from research findings. Communicating and using research evidence is an expectation of a BSN graduate.
i. Select and describe one of the conclusions from the required article from the homework that you found interesting and applicable to practice. Describe how you would apply the evidence to improve nursing practice. Explain your answer.
ii. Discuss ways you would disseminate research-based evidence; how would you share with your peers? Include your thoughts on why it
is important for you to be involved in communicating and applying nursing research evidence.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
