Assignment: Dax Cowart Case Analysis
This case analysis is the first assignment based on topics we have discussed in early modules of the course. To analyze a case, you will use scholarly resources and the knowledge you've gained from the course so far to support your work.
To complete the case analysis, consult the Dax Cowart Case Analysis Guidelines (attached)
1. Contrast four of the key principles of bioethics: Beneficence, Non-maleficence, Autonomy and Justice, and the tensions that often arise when attempting to respect each of them in practice.
2. Identify the ethical issues presented in a patient care situation and formulate a justified conclusion, using an ethical decision making framework.
3. Describe measures to manage the experience of moral distress.
