The abstracts are to be new and perhaps more current information pertaining to the discussion topic and specifically address one or more of the case questions/concepts. (In the case, the abstract should be in relation or relevant to the "Be the Manager" exercise. This will take a little research to find an appropriate article from which to produce an abstract. The abstracts are to typed in MS WORD or compatible word format and submitted as an assignment attachment. The heading of the abstract document should include your name, date, chapter # and case, followed by the centered title of the abstracted article.
All abstracts are to include:

• The full citation of the source preceding the abstract (bibliographic citation including publication, title, author, etc.).

• Concise restatement of the main point(s) (the most important information first).

• Key words and phrases that quickly identify the content and focus of the work/writing.

• Clear and concise sentences and/or bullet points.

• Major conclusions.

For simplicity, please use the following as a guide to the development of your abstract.

Abstract: Abstract is a brief summary of your article. It needs to be very informative but readable and brief. In order for readers to decide whether to read an entire article, the abstract needs to be:

• Accurate: The abstract accurately reflects the information in the article and the purpose of the study. No new information that is not in the article/publication should appear in the abstract.

• Self-contained.

• Concise and specific: The abstract should be ~300 words. Bullet point the most important points.

• Non-evaluative.

• Coherent and readable: Use the third person, active voice. Use the present tense to describe results and past tense to describe variables manipulated or tests used.
