a) identify the central claim or thesis of the text and articulate it in our own words

b) identify the supporting evidence for the claim and the key concepts introduced;

c) relate the text to other examples that support or contradict the central claim or thesis - this can come from other texts, documentaries, research or valid examples. Don't base your claims on conjecture.
