I understand that Theory of Constraints is a management philosophy which strives to continually achieve more of the goal of a system. If that system is a for-profit business, then the goal is to make more money. I also understand that every organization has at any particular point in time, a key constraint which limits the system's performance relative to its goal. I realize Theory of Constraints is based on the premise that the rate of revenue generation is limited by at least one constraining process, known as a 'bottleneck'.
