Assignment: Emerging Threats
An It group of a utility company faces several major challenges in supporting more than 500 employees in several locations with a staff of only 5. For example, many of the mobile field technicians and sales staff use laptops and work away from office locations. These employees bring the laptops from remote locations to the central office, and sometimes the laptops are lost or stolen when they are at remote locations.
Using the information that you have obtained, provide a detailed plan to answer the following questions:
• Protect the company from lost data
• Identify other potential problems from the scenario
• Replicate lost data onto a new laptop so that an employee can resume his/her job.
