Nurses need to be able to describe a process clearly to their patients, a doctor, or another nurse. Critical thinking skills include the ability to see the end goal and break down the process into parts.
Include a clear description of each step, why they must be taken in order (if applicable), and what the consequences might be if not followed correctly. Your paragraph must be at least five to eight sentences in length. Use APA (7th ed.) formatting, including a title page, when writing your responses.
1) Write a short paragraph about one of the following processes.
a) How do I know if a medication was omitted during a change of shifts?
b) How do you approach new situations in which you are not in control?
c) How do you determine which buzzer to answer when working the night shift alone?
2) Include in your response
a) A clear description of the behavior you would have toward addressing that situation
b) How you usually feel when addressed by a new situation you are not in control of
c) Identify at least one idea on how you can resolve the situation
