Theft Under $5000
Situation: On Friday 5 August 2022, at about 3:30 pm, Max Winters entered the Best Buy store located at 65 Dundas St.W. in Toronto. At about this time, he select an XBox gaming console, worth $600, and placed it in his knapsack. Max then walked directly out of the store without making any attempt to pay for the Xbox.
Store security observed Max's theft and followed him outside the store where they arrested him for Theft Under $5000. The police were immediately called and they attended the store. Max Winters was charged accordingly.
