Identify three good examples of artworks with religious symbolism and significance from the premodern art we have covered so far. In your paper, explain in detail its religious meanings within the cultures of the Americas, Asia, or Egypt. Your three examples should come from different cultures, not all from the same culture or time period.
You do not need to use any external sources of this assignment--however, you may choose to do so if you use academic sources like journal articles or museum websites. Instead of research, focus instead on explaining how your three artworks visually embody religion. In other words, focus on descriptive writing, explaining how the artwork's visual features convey religious meaning in their original historical context.
