Problem
A. Identify a new drug/medication that has been FDA-approved and placed on the healthcare market for consumer use within the last year. This information may be obtained from a journal, the Food and Drug Association, or any other internet site. Many resources are available on websites. Any search engine will bring you recent information. Choose a drug that interests you or your family if you like.
B. Identify the drug category and subcategories it would fall under or be related to. Refer to the categories discussed in class.
C. Description of the drug's action and usage. Include a definition of the disease process or conditions for which it is used.
D. Identify any precautions associated with the administration of the drug as well as side effects that the drug may cause. This should include pregnancy and breastfeeding precautions.
E. The length depends upon the drug, but frequently is two to three pages in length. You must include a title, and a reference, with at least 2 references. If you use the web be sure to include the web address and date you retrieved the information.
