Discussion Post: Types of Data
Bartlett (2013) divides data into six categories: a) Observation, b) Census taking, c) Anecdotal sampling or non-representative sampling, d) DoS (Design of Samples or statistical sampling, e) DoE (Design of Experiments) or experimentation, and f) Simulation.
In this discussion:
• Select one of the types of data available (Avoid using the same type of data previously discussed by a class member if possible).
o Briefly describe the type of data.
o Explain where it would be useful to use this type of data and why.
o Include an example of how you have seen this type of data used in an organization you are familiar with or one you have researched
The response should include a reference list. Using double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
