Homework: PROJECT PROPOSAL
Overview
This is the first of four homeworks which, as a whole, will cover all aspects of the project life cycle relevant to your selected project. You have been selected to be the project manager (for a project of your choice). The project that you decide to use should meet the key criteria of a project:
a. Has a beginning and an end.
b. Results in something being delivered to someone.
c. Requires a series of activities that must be done to complete the project.
d. Requires resources (e.g., people, materials) to complete the work.
Instructions
Write a 4 to 6 pages paper in which you define the scope of your chosen project. In your paper you must:
a. Provide a brief summary of your chosen project.
b. Describe at least three project goals and three project objectives.
c. Identify the key customer(s) and at least two stakeholders for your project. Remember, you are delivering the project to your customer(s), however the stakeholders have a vested interest in your project.
d. Describe at least three key milestones and/or deliverables for your project.
e. Describe a high-level timeline that includes key tasks and deadlines.
f. Estimate the project's overall costs and any key staffing and non-staffing resources needed.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
