1. In recent years, there has been considerable discussion of quotas-either explicit or implicit-as a method of eliminating employment discrimination. Discuss the pros and cons of such a policy.
2. If a firm was relatively non discriminating, how would you expect the representation and relative wages of minorities (or women) in the firm to compare with those in high discriminating firms? Explain.
3. In your own words, explain the family specialization hypothesis as a reason for the earnings of women being less than those of men. Either criticize or defend this theory.
