Many students tell me that their least favorite part of online courses are the discussions. It can be intimidating if classmates have written something that looks really smart and complicated, it can be difficult to get a post in early in the week, sometimes the topics are boring, and some weeks you are just too tired to think of something unique. If you were the instructor for this course, how would you create tax discussion that is interesting? What would you include? What would you never, ever do? In other courses you have taken, what were some of the best discussions you've been in? What was the most boring topic you've had to discuss in other accounting or business courses?
