Homework: Informatics Solution Proposal- Areas of Evaluation
In this homework, you will evaluate two products you believe may resolve your selected issue. The purpose of your evaluation is to find the product that would be the best fit for your health care workplace and would best resolve the existing issue. Remember each weekly homework builds on the last homework and will culminate in the homework.
Select ?two products currently available in the market from the category you identified. For example, if you selected EHRs, then identify two specific EHR products, such as Cerner and Epic. If you chose two barcode scanners, you might compare Zebra and Honeywell.
Note: You may use the product websites for information to support your homework and the websites do count as references.
Explain the following related to each product in your homework:
i. How would each product mitigate the clinical or administrative issue?
ii. How will each product affect patients, staff, and the organization?
Determine the functionality of the two products as related to the following:
i. Ease of use (how easy are they to use?)
ii. Clarity (are there clear instructions?)
iii. Time element (is the product time consuming to use?)
iv. Educational needs (what education needs to be provided to patient or nurse?)
v. Cost (how expensive is the product?)
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
