Think about some formative toy, game, or media (song, tv show, video game, website, etc.) from your childhood. Describe this cultural artifact. Then, think about any type of gender roles that were involved with it. Did this toy/game/media have any particular overt of subtle message about gender expectations? Discuss them. Then, use at least three concepts from the assigned reading to shed light on this cultural artifact. Discuss how we can better understand your personal experience using these concepts.
