How was colonization a contributing factor

Problem 1: How did the introduction of new technologies and the imposition of new ways of living, particularly mainstream ones, forced the Métis people to asap to the colonizer's customs which led to a loss of identity and a sense of alienation? (prior to 1951)

Problem 2: How was colonization a contributing factor in the Metis people's loss of connection to and understanding of their native land and how did it result in the loss of knowledge and practices that could not be passed down to subsequent generation? (Prior to 1951)

Problem 3: How did colonialism caused the Métis people to be physically and mentally displaced as a result of being subjected to horrific violence and abuse and how did this resulted in a sense of alienation and isolation? (Prior to 1951 and residential schools can be mentioned)
