Problem: As you learned about the content in Unit 6, delegated duties were created as a way to increase access to care issues for patients and allow for dentists to have the ability to utilize their dental assistant in a more effective manner so they can see more patients. These delegated duties for a licensed dental assistant fall under four different levels of supervision.
1. First, describe how the use of these different levels of supervision increases access to care for dental patients.
2. Next, select one procedure that you feel could be moved to a different level of supervision or you may identify one procedure that you feel should NOT be moved to a different level of supervision.
3. Then, explain why the procedure you selected could or should NOT be moved to a different level of supervision.
