How to write a policy recommendations

Assignment:

Description

As discussed in the last module, your assignments for the rest of the semester will be sections of your paper, a new section to be completed for each module, and then to be combined together for your final project grade.

You should have already completed your introduction. The parts of the paper will be as follows:

Introduction

Statement of Problem

Analysis of available information (data)

Policy Recommendations

Conclusion

In this module, we will be working on the "Policy Recommendations."

Recommendations."

You have already stated the problem you are focusing on with the "defund the police movement." You have analyzed the data that you have found and now you will be making recommendations to "fix" the problems you have found. Try to limit your recommendations to 1 or two policy changes that will address your problem. For example: instead of defunding the police and all the problems that come with that which you have analyzed in your analysis of the problem, maybe you propose refunding and focusing on training. You can always go back and adjust your introduction and problem statement as you go along. Remember to use the provided links and sources on how to write a policy paper given previously.

Please READ the sample papers.

Your paper should be in APA format. Remember no "wiki" sources are allowed, such as Wikipedia, Answersom, etc. You may only use primary sources of data, (such as network news information, newspaper information) and peer-reviewed articles.

You will complete this section this module, and the rest of the modules will focus on a specific part of the paper. As always, feel free to contact me for assistance, and, if you would like, we can have a zoom meeting.
