"is trying to help you understand how the process of writing is a series of making choices, and in doing so, can help you recognize important decisions you might face, he also wants to show you some techniques you might want to use when working on your own writing and how writer's get their inspiration to write and what it takes encouraging to read what you believe is most important. He stated that everyone has a different way of reading and writing. Everyone starts and ends differently, people use different ways making a clear point, or maybe include one quote or two to make the point clear, or some people might use their own life experience to make a point."
I learned to always ask myself "what is the author's purpose for this piece of writing?," "what is the genre?", and "who is the audience?". But in my own opinion, I think his audience are people like me who are struggling with the writing and need help learning techniques and ideas for be a better writer. I also think that sometimes by reading other people's text you start to see these small things in a writing, and you will eventually see and find out your own way of presenting a clear point of writing to your audience. I really did enjoy reading this text because it started with a life experience and continued with important information on being a writer, I also agree with the techniques he use to help me better understand "How to read like a writer" and realize that the genre of this text is an educational essay.
