Problem:
To ensure the sustainability of change initiatives aimed at addressing hospital staffing shortages, as a healthcare administrator I must take a proactive approach. This includes monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the strategies implemented, adapting to changing circumstances, and continuously seeking ways to improve. Also, effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, including staff, federal, state, and local agencies are essential for the success and sustainability of these initiatives. Hospitals and providers need to experiment with new approaches, but they also need to share information openly so that others can learn and that everyone can make the right mid-course corrections, and good information and fast feedback loops can speed up the learning needed to identify, implement, and diffuse innovative approaches (Bohmer et al.,2020).
