Assignment: Sales Manager Interview Paper
Length: 3 to 5 pages.
Instructions
Students will conduct an interview with the Sales Manager of a business of your choosing.
You will need to plan ahead for this project.
Your interview should include basic information about the business, including size, key competitors, number of salespeople, number of support personnel for the sales team, at typical day in the life of their sales associates, etc.
During the interview, you should also discuss with the Sales Manager the following areas of Sales Management:
1) How they create a customer-drive culture;
2) Their recruiting, hiring and retention program for their salesforce;
3) Their training, coaching and incentive programs;
4) How they leverage technology in the sales management process;
In addition, your interview should investigate on the interviewee's specific role as Sales Manager and their interaction with their salesforce, including topics like:
1) What is their particular leadership style;
2) How they prepare their salesforce for change through mentoring and coaching;
3) How they establish trust with their salesforce;
4) How they maintain motivation and enthusiasm among their salesforce;
5) Metrics used to measure salesforce effectiveness;
6) How they evaluate individual salesperson performance;
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
