How social workers develop competence, ethical practice

Problem:

Please respond in a humanistic manner to her post I am from California she from North Carolina, the Behavioral Health Board for social workers is the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board. North Carolina offers several levels of social work licensure, including Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The LCSWA is considered a provisional or supervised license for individuals who have earned their MSW degree but are still completing supervised clinical experience. An LCSW is the independent clinical license that allows social workers to diagnose and provide clinical treatment without supervision. One major difference between the two tiers is that LCSWAs must practice under supervision and cannot independently practice clinical social work, while LCSWs are fully licensed for independent clinical practice. To become an LCSW in North Carolina, individuals must complete 3,000 hours of post-MSW clinical social work experience within a minimum of two years. In addition, the state requires 100 hours of clinical supervision by a qualified supervisor, with at least one hour of supervision provided for every 30 hours of clinical practice. These requirements help ensure that social workers develop competence, ethical practice skills, and professional readiness before practicing independently. Need Assignment Help?
