In the book Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson, Herbert Richardson was a U.S. war veteran who suffered tremendous mental trauma while serving our nation. How should this fact be factored into his defense? How do you feel about the reality that Richardson's ineffective counsel neglected to present a mitigation narrative in his defense, failed to challenge the "transferred intent" theory presented by prosecution, and did not object to the prosecution's inflammatory comments.
