• Healthcare organizations focus on efficiency as one dimension of financial performance. Other dimensions include quality patient care and continuing new sources of revenue. They are also responsible for behaving in ethical ways prescribed by laws and professional ethics. Post a case study where there were conflicts between making money and behaving consistent with promulgated ethical standards. Do a root cause analysis driving the conflict. How was the conflict resolved? How should these conflicts be resolved? What is the current protocol? How would you improve it?
• Managers implement the best practices and ideas of others. Leaders bring new ideas and practices to the organization they lead. Select either the role of manager or leader. Write and action plan for acquiring and implementing the best practices of the role you selected. What do professionals need to actually do to achieve a great manager or leader?
