This case (as cited in Beard, 2018) investigated three nurses colluding to bring about the demise of the Director of Nursing (DON). The findings handed down by the judge was that there was " obvious ulterior motives in wanting to bring the applicant down and that all three stood to benefit from her dismissal" (Beard, 2018. para. 1).
