Show the specific way it altered what you understood the problem to be, and then how that understanding changed the intervention you selected. Awareness that doesn't move the clinical decision reads as decorative.
Define the terrain broadly and honestly. Diversity here includes demographic, geographic, and ideological difference. Also worth naming: how you handle similarity to a patient, which carries its own conceptualization risks and is far less commonly written about than difference.
Include yourself as a variable. Your own identities shape what you attend to, what you assume, and what patients disclose to you. Naming that concretely - not as a disclaimer, but as part of the formulation - signals sophistication.
Say what you're not good at yet. Where your competence thins out, what you've found genuinely difficult, what surprised you about yourself. This is a training application; struggle is legitimate content, and its absence is conspicuous.
Connect to training goals and site fit. State what multicultural training you want during the year and how the site's opportunities match it.
Keep continuity. Diversity considerations aren't separable from how you conceptualize generally, so let this response speak to the theoretical orientation you described just before it. Reviewers read the set together.
Compress the case, expand the reasoning. At 500 words with a case requirement, the temptation is to spend 200 words on presenting picture and history. Two or three sentences of setup is enough; the rest belongs to your thinking.
