How marx discusses the concept of alienation

Assignment task:

Marx discusses the concept of Alienation.

Please relate the alienation concept with reference to the works of Marx to any contemporary workplace, the social or political environment today.

Alienation: Karl Marx viewed alienation as an outcome of the capitalist system, which separates workers from the product of their labour, leaving them feeling disconnected, unfulfilled and without a sense of purpose or satisfaction. This concept of alienation is still relevant in today's workplace and social environment. Many employees feel disconnected from their jobs, unable to take pride in their work and feel like a cog in a machine. This lack of connection with their work can lead to feelings of frustration, unhappiness, and negative emotions. In the political environment, alienation can manifest itself as apathy - citizens feeling disconnected from their government, powerless to affect change, and disinterested in even voting.
