Discussion Post: Life Purpose
I. Consider the following:
i. Psalm 138:8 "The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever-do not abandon the works of your hands."
ii. Matthew 5:13-16 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
iii. Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will."
II. After pondering the information above, answer the following questions in the Discussion Forum:
i. What is the purpose for your life? (How might that align with God's purpose for your life?)
ii. How intentionally are you living out that purpose?
iii. How important is it that you are in alignment with the purpose for your life? (Is it important that you are in alignment with God's purpose for your life?)
