Assignment Question: Comment on this.
I somewhat knew that slavery hasn't completely ended. Slavery isn't like slavery in the past. You can be a slave in many ways such as human trafficking, sex slaves or even bondage. The difference between the new and old system of slavery would be:
- There are more slaves now than there was before.
- Slaves are cheaper than they were in the past.
- Race isn't the only factor in slavery now.
You can be slave for just about anything now. For example, if you owe someone money and you can't pay the debt off, they can own you until they feel as though it's even. Nowadays, human trafficking is one of the modern-day versions of slavery. Young children and adults are trafficked or sold to other individuals for profit. I feel as though trafficking or modern-day slavery should be stopped because everyone should be able to be free and not in bondage in some way, shape or form.
