Assignment Question: Comment on this.
In each reading, I have learned something new, and in this one, it is disturbing to see how slavery is a problem that is hidden because we never hear many cases of slavery. I thought that the number of cases were less in these times. Saba's story is tragic, as she was a domestic slave for many years. According to the reading, Saba was 22 years old and her development was similar to that a a 5 years old child, so she could never attend school. Sadly, slavery continues to exist in many places and it's difficult to imagine how these people can survive after all they have endured. As an example, the ancient slave trade was a result of racism, because of the color skin of the people, while today they look for the easiest people to capture. The main purpose of slavery at the moment is to generate an income as easily as possible. They are practically stealing goals and rights from the person. The fact that people can cause so much harm to another people, is hard to comprehend.
