Review the Yap student sample essay (pages 665-682 in the Broadview textbook) and address the following questions:
• What is the purpose of the essay? What do you think the writer was trying to do to his audience (make them agree with his point of view, get them to take action, or something else)?
• Where is his thesis? (Tell us in which paragraph you found the thesis and copy and paste it into your post.)
• How does the author support his argument?
• How does the author conclude the essay (e.g., with directions to the reader or a final impression)?
• How does the author use APA Style to organize, format, and document his argument?
In your responses, check each other's answers, Can you find additional indications of what the author was attempting to do? Can you find additional support?
