In Snow Crash, Hiro Protagonist delivers pizza for Cosa Nostra Pizza as the Deliverator, but in the Metaverse, he exists as an expert samurai swordsman and brilliant hacker. Discuss with your classmates the similarities and differences between Anderson/Neo in The Matrix and Hiro from Snow Crash as either heroes or anti-heroes of cyberspace/parallel worlds. How does each character's experience of virtual reality affect their experience of embodied or molecular/ off line identity? Is one's online self the same or different from one's offline self?
